Franked 10 sld Austrian stamp perforation 9.5 x 9.5, tied by Jerusalem postmark dated 8.3 (1883) alongside sender oval cachet "Bichur Cholim Hospital".  German written notations on back cover, regarding money owed . Arrival postmark on back dated 23.3 (1883).  Cover with normal wear on margins. F-VF.

Next the cover transfer by Austrian Lloyd Steamer ship to Alexandria (p/m 20.2.1885) & from there transfered by ship to New York with arrival p/m Double circle New York - Paid PD dated March 14.  Fine condition & scarce.

Palestine Forerunners Austrian Post -Caifa A, double ring bridge type postmark 15.7.1906 tied to Imprinted 10c overprinted Austrian stationery postcard, mailed to Berlin Germany. Port Said Egypt trasit p/m on front 17.7.1906 alongside Berlin arrival p/m 23.7.1906. Sender dated XF negative seal at top left. Long German written message on back. VF.

Palestine Forerunners Austrian Post - Parcel card for 3 packages sent from Jaffa to Sadagora (In Ukraine today). Frank total of 18 Piastre  x6 Austrian overprinted stamps, tied by Jaffa P/Ms 22.8.1900. Tristi Italy transit p/m  on back alongside Czernowitz Ukraine transit p/m 11.9.1900 & Sadagora arrival p/ms 12.9.1900. 3 Heller imperforate postage due stamp added upon arrival (as required for storage). 3 Jaffa parcel labels on front, numbers 82,83,84. The packages sent to Rabbi Jechiel (Yechiel) Taubes with his handsatmp arrival cachet on reverse alongside his signature. Packages weight written on front: 4.3 Kiligram, 4.7 Kiligram & 4.5 Kilogram. F-VF & scarce combinations.

Back side with color picture of the church of the Holy Sepulchre. Message written in German with 8 signatures, F-VF.

Palestine Forerunners Russian Post - Postcard mailed from Odesa Russia (in Ukraine today) to Jerusalem 23.6.1914 with additional Russian transit p/m 25.6.1914. The card arrived in Jaffa where 2k overprinted 10 Para Russian stamp added tied by Jaffa p/m 10.7.1914 (Steichele p/m type 636) & forward to Jerusalem where arrival postmark added 18.7.1914. Only few such cards known to be forwarded with Russian stamps in the Holy Land during the Ottoman period.  The postcard was sent to David Yelin who was the head of the school for teachers in Jerusalem. The Hebrew message on back read as follows: Dear Mr. Yelin, Shalom..I am here to inform you of the requests to enter the general teaching year in the school which is under your supervision. Is 300 Rupies will be enough per year for my food ? If there is specific program, please send it to me to the below address. With respect..S. Oshlovitz.  F-VF & rare.

Palestine Forerunners Russian Post - Jerusalem to Berlin Germany Registered letter mailed from Hotel Fast Jerusalem. Franked with Russian stamps overprinted with Turkish values for total of 2 Piastre & 10 Para (1 Piastre for registration + 1 Piastre for letter rate, 10para over). Stamps tied by XF strikes postmarks dated 8.2 1914 This is the earliest known date for Steichele postmark type 657.  Also according to the Steichele  catalog,  the registration label is a new discovery unknown type setting (look at last scan) as the upper No is in vertical line with the P in Poste. In addition dotted round R registered handstamp on front (Catalog type 648). Berlin arrival postmark on back dated 2.3.1914.  VF & very rare quality cover.

Palestine Forerunners Turkish Post - Bir El Sebee (Beer Sheva today in the Northern Israel Negev desert). Cover mailed to Berlin & reroute to Dusseldord Germany. Frank 1 Piastre (correct letter rate), tied by the rare Bir-El Sebee bridge type postmark dated 7.2.1916. Damas 7 Octagon type transit p/m on back 11.2.1916  alongside Constantinople Turkey machine cancel p/m 28.2.1916. Few marginal wrinkle. F-VF, Rare seldom seen postmark.
